Pindar Van Arman

The Artist Pindar Van Arman is an American artist and roboticist whose practice explores the nature of creativity through painting robots, AI, machine learning, robotic arms, and custom-built systems. He invented CloudPainter, an autonomous robot-painting project that has evolved over more than a decade into an ongoing investigation of human and machine creativity. Van Arman’s work deconstructs the artistic process into teachable decisions, using robotic systems not only to make paintings but also to question where creativity comes from and how it can emerge through human-machine collaboration.
